Read-A-Thon is Back!

From October 20–24, students will read to earn raffle tickets for chances to win exciting prizes, including teacher experiences and book-themed prize packages.

Every participating student will receive a free book this year! Reading minutes will be tracked online, with a paper system available as backup. Classrooms will compete within each grade level to see who can log the most minutes.

This event is not only about fostering a love of reading—it’s also the Hoover PTA’s largest fundraiser of the year. Your donations directly support programs like field trips, teacher appreciation, and Fall Family Night.

  • Daily donor raffles: Each day, donors will be entered into a raffle for special prizes such as museum tickets and VIP parking for drop-off and pick-up.
  • Family & friends support: Please share the donation link with relatives, neighbors, and friends so we can reach our goals together.


More details will be coming home soon. For now, please mark your calendars for October 20–24 and join us for an inspiring week of reading and raising money for our school!

Second Grade Field Trip – October 14th

On Monday, October 14th, our second graders will take their first field trip of the year — a walking tour of Mt. Lebanon! Students will learn about the rich history and unique architecture of our town while exploring local landmarks. The PTA is proud to cover half the cost of this special experience for our students.   

PTA Meeting - Join Us!

Please join us for the OCTOBER PTA Meeting -October 14 at 9:30 am in the Hoover Cafeteria. 

Spooky Story Night

The PTA is excited to partner with the school to host our annual Spooky Story Night! Students will enjoy crafts, music, and a spooky story to kick off the Halloween season.

  • Tuesday, October 22nd – Grades 1–3

  • Wednesday, October 23rd – Grades 4–5

  •  3:30–4:45 PM

Students will need to return a signed permission form to stay after school for the event.
